What is a CVV number?
CVV is an authentication procedure established by credit card companies to further efforts towards reducing fraud for internet transactions. It consists of requiring a card holder to enter the CVV number at transaction time to verify that the card is on hand. The CVV code appears on most (but not all) major credit and debit cards. This feature is a three or four digit code which provides a cryptographic check of the information embossed on the card. Therefore, the CVV code is not part of the card number itself.
The CVV code helps ascertain that the customer placing the order actually possesses the credit/debit card and that the card account is legitimate. Each credit card company has its own name for the CVV code, but it functions the same for all major card types. VISA refers to the code as CVV2, MasterCard calls it CVC2, and with American Express the CVC appears as a separate 4 digit code printed on the front of your card and is called CID. Maestro has no CVV.
The back panel of most Visa/MasterCard cards contain the full 16-digit account number, followed by the CVV/CVC code. Some banks, though, only show the last four digits of the account number followed by the code. To aid in the prevention of fraudulent credit card use, we require the 3 or 4 digit code on the back of your credit card. When you submit your credit card information, your data is protected by Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology certified by a digital certificate.
What is SSL?
The Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) Protocol is a cryptographic protocol that provide security and data integrity for communications over networks such as the Internet. SSL encrypts the data sent to our server in use for an end-to-end connection across the network. A SSL protocol is required by PBS International, the sole issuers and administrator of the above-mentioned credit cards in Denmark.
Withdrawal from your account
The amount of your donation or sponsorship will not be withdrawn from your account until you have accepted your donation by going through all the steps of the payment procedure. If you do not have a credit card, you can make a regular bank transfer; please quote your email-address so we can identify you:

*Annulment of online orders
Sponsors can annul a payment 14 days after ordering. If you wish to annul your payment, send us an e-mail: administration@100percent2thechildren.org or a letter by post. Remember to quote your name, address, amount and to attach / enclose the invoice sent to you by 100% to the Children as our confirmation of having recieved your payment.
