Concert-benefit for 100% to the Children
It is hard to find words to express our gratitude after the concert and collection for 100% to the Children in Vrinners Church on Dec. 18, 2008. Over DKK 10.000 (GBP 1.200) was collected during the concert along with a large donation from the church council and the choir itself gave their fee to the project as well. A generousity of that magnitude, we had never dared to hope for. The money will go 100% to the children, in this case the children of Kibarani Dump Site and Nursery School. They will help to ensure 110 children not only a happier christmas, but also a new year where they continue to get two meals a day, school and treatment for sickness.

It Takes People
On May 29 the founder of 100% to the Children, Signe Møller, was handed the 'I DO' baton by Johannes Abildtrup (AWE), from the initiative in Denmark called 'It Takes People'. The purpose of the initiative is to draw attention to the fact that everybody can be a part of making a difference for the poorest in the world. 'I am very honored and will do my best to live up to the responsibility. I am the last to receive this baton, 30 of them has been passed around people in Denmark, each recipient would keep it for 2 days and then pass it on to someone they think is making a difference, and today I am to give it back to the originator of the project, the Counsellors for NGO's in Denmark (Projektrådgivningen) and the mayor at the city hall in Aarhus at 4 pm' says Signe on returning the baton.
